In April 2001 he was promoted to Head Instructor by Grand Master Shin; in December 2004 he was promoted to Master; and in late 2007 he attained the rank of 5th Dan. He has also been studying and teaching Kickboxing since 1997.
Master Rapport devotes his life to staying on the martial arts' path, which is the 'do' part of Taekwondo. This involves a single-minded pursuit of personal development and growth, both mental and physical. He believes that the defining characteristics of the true martial artist are honesty, integrity, determination, perseverance, respect and, of course, indomitable spirit. He is steadily working towards the elusive goals of balance and harmony of mind, body and spirit.
In addition to his regular teaching schedule, Master Rapport also finds the time to teach private lessons and run alongside the ocean in Pacifica. In his spare time, Master Rapport is an accomplished photographer.
