SENIOR INSTRUCTOR MASTER ANDY MAGUIRE

Master Maguire officially began training in Taekwondo during his first college summer break in 1984. Prior to this, a nearby neighborhood boy had the misfortune of being on the receiving end of his 'unofficial' training. Regrettably, a fun-loving but errant kung fu kick to the head abruptly concluded a brief stint with a perfectly good playmate. Since then, Master Maguire has diligently strived to harness the awesome power of his hands and feet for the use of good.

Guided by this high-minded purpose, Master Maguire has pursued many Taekwondo-related activities over the course of the last two decades. Some of his prouder and more satisfying accomplishments have been:

• Achieving 4th dan black belt status under the guidance of Master Marty Marcus.
• Surviving 50 consecutive matches as center referee at the UC Berkeley Open TKD Tournament.
• Competing in International Competitions in Sydney Australia and Vancouver Canada.
• Co-creating Atomic TaeKwonDo with Master Matthew Fishbach in 2001.
• Maintaining board membership of Triangle TaeKwon Do and IAGLMA.
